It takes one push of a button to raise or lower the roof of the Volante. Hood up or down, the lines of a DB9 Volante remain breathtakingly beautiful. The Aston Martin DB9 was conceived and designed, from the outset, as both a Coupe and a convertible (Volante). This uncompromising approach is typical of the whole DB9 engineering philosophy. That is why DB9 Volante is one of the most structurally rigid and best handling convertibles in the world. It is also one of the fastest and quietest. It looks elegant and perfectly proportioned from every angle - with roof up or down. As with all Aston Martins, beauty and proportion is of key importance.

92 years ago something very special happened to the motorcar industry, Aston Martin was born and the automotive trade has only ever benefited from the presence of this marque. Without doubt one of the world’s most prestigious and sought after marques, Aston is firmly established as one of the premier Supercar manufacturers in the world, let alone Britain. The company benchmark has always been to produce “a quality car of good performance and appearance: a car for the discerning owner driver with fast touring in mind, designed, developed, engineered and built as an individual”. It is a stamp of quality they have proudly met at every turn. Their racing heritage is one that most manufactures covet with notable successes at Le Mans and the World Sports Car Championships. From 1947 the DB era saw Aston’s popularity and production soar, especially after the DB5 starred alongside Sean Connery in Goldfinger. A record 700 new cars were produced and delivered in 1995 and the company has gone from strength. Aston will always be the epitome of British cool and manufacturing prowess.
The DB9 is set to eclipse the DB7 as Aston’s most successful car ever, the Volante is every bit as performance driven but may look even cooler. The car is admittedly a little lighter and less rigid than the hard top DB9 but this doesn’t seem to devalue the drive. Unlike the DB9 it doesn’t want to fishtail out of every corner and will reward the driver for pushing its limits with responsiveness and a true line. With the top down the speed of the car is even more evident and the acceleration will definitely give you an interesting hair style, but these are both positives in anyone’s book. Dr. Bez can be hugely proud of the Volante, a car that manages to pull its top down without loosing anything of its British distinction and class.
The DB9 looses nothing of its charm, sophistication and ogle value by being a soft top, if anything all these elements are drastically increased. Imagine cruising through the countryside in a soft-top Aston of this beauty… even the sheep will stare! I defy anyone to pull up at traffic lights in this car and not be the centre of attention, until you pull away from them all that is! The Volante is undeniably cool and is the perfect soft top for any discerning Supercar driver. The car shares the same long, low lines and a muscular frame as the coupe and is undoubtedly worthy to hold the same badge. If Bond was looking for a soft-top this would have to be it! The Volante is an awesome machine with beautiful good looks.

Founded in 1973 by Frank Robinson, the company currently produces more helicopters annually than all the other North American manufacturers combined. The R22 has consistently been one of the world’s top selling helicopters, with five years in the top spot (from 1987-1992). The company's claims to fame include the first female solo flight around the world (September 2000) and the R22 holds most of the world records in its class.
With a cruising speed of 110mph and a maximum range of 300 miles the R22 Beta II is understandably the world’s most popular entry level helicopter. The cabin comfortably accommodates pilot and passenger (with removable dual controls) and with Robinson’s patented ‘tri-hinge’ rotor and the O-369 engine, the R22 is one of the most reliable helicopters around. The teflon-lined bearings and maintenance free couplings ensure that the R22 only requires inspection every 100 hours. With no traffic jams in sight and private pilot's licence in your pocket you can be sure to get from A - B in double quick time!
This 2-seater may not be the height of fashion in the looks department, but it really has been superbly designed, a point borne out but its huge success. Equally used by police forces and civil pilots around the world, the R22 has a proven heritage. Light, agile and equipped with the O-369 engine this helicopter delivers superb performance and handling with a minimum of effort. The cabin is ladened with advanced technology that is simply and functionally displayed, allowing for ease of learning and flight experience that is hard to match.

New luxury 2+2 convertible, will be officially unveiled at the New York International Automobile Show in April 2006. When the stunning convertible goes on sale later this year it will complete the Bentley Continental model range, following the introduction of the highly successful Continental GT in 2003 and four-door Continental Flying Spur in 2005.
With a top speed of 195mph (312km/h), a sophisticated all-wheel drive system, state-of-the-art 12-cylinder engine, advanced air suspension and ultra-stiff body structure, the Continental GTC displays all the poise, exhilarating performance and dynamic handling of the Continental GT. In common with its stable mates, the interior of the new Continental GTC provides an unrivalled standard of craftsmanship, utilising natural wood veneers and leather hides of the finest quality, which are on full display when you lower the elegant, electro-hydraulically operated soft-top roof.
"The Continental GTC is the most distinctive new Bentley yet," explains Bentley Motors' Chairman and Chief Executive, Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen. "It is very elegant and at the same time effortlessly modern. It will appeal to many different customers: people who are tired of driving sports cars that require too much effort; people who want to move up from more standard convertibles; and people who want to make a statement about what they drive, yet still own a car that they can use every day of the year."
The Continental GTC becomes the second convertible to grace the current Bentley range. It follows the recently announced return of the evocative Azure name for Bentley.s Arnage-derived flagship four-seater convertible.
While the Azure offers the ultimate glamour, sophistication and accommodation for adults in supreme comfort, the 2+2 Continental GTC is designed for customers looking to enjoy the phenomenal performance, style and excitement of the Continental GT with the additional benefits of classic open-top Bentley motoring.

To mention a ‘raging bull’ seems clichéd, but it describes this latest Gallardo perfectly. 560bhp being wrung out of its 5.2litre V10, emitting the kind of noise that makes grown men and babies cry. People 2 villages away will hear the LP560-4 when it heads towards the redline. With looks so chiseled and purposeful, and handling so adjustable and raw, it’s little wonder that this latest Lambo is the car to have in 2009. A true supercar in every sense – the interior cossets you in an alcantara letterbox, the power crushes you into your seat, and people stare, open jawed as it drives past. There are few experiences that can match driving this piece of Sant‘Agata’s finest engineering…
Review:
With the new Gallardo LP560-4, Lamborghini once again sets a higher standard for super sports cars. With its new engine, permanent four-wheel drive transmission and new suspension, it delivers clearly improved performance and dynamics. In parallel, its innovative design takes the classic lines unique to the Lamborghini brand one step further. Powerful elegance has never been so defined before.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is the successor of the most successful Lamborghini model of all time. Approximately 7100 Gallardo models have left the Sant'Agata Bolognese production plant since its launch in 2003. "The LP560-4 will consolidate this success story," states Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. "It will outclass its predecessor in every aspect; its dynamics are distinctly breathtaking and its design sets new standards. With the introduction of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, we will consistently continue Lamborghini's growth strategy".
The powerful heart of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 is the new 5.2 litre V10 engine with an output of 560 PS (412 kW) at 8000 rpm. The increase of 40 PS compared with that of the previous Gallardo, and the approximate 20 kilogram reduction in weight, improves the power weight ratio to 2.5 kilograms per PS (hp) and thus enhances performance. The LP560-4 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, its speed at 11.8 seconds is 200 km/h and its top speed lies at 325 km/h. At the same time the new, highly efficient engine enthrals its driver with its direct fuel injection system - "Iniezione Diretta Stratificata". Despite its clearly increased power, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by a staggering 18 per cent.

Maserati Quattroporte, the model which established the category of "Luxury Sports Saloons", can be considered something of a Maserati masterpiece. After five years of success, with more than 15,000 cars delivered and 46 international awards, the Maserati Quattroporte is now being presented with a new look and new technical solutions. The history of art is characterised by audacious artists who challenged pre-existing conventions. Similarly the Pininfarina design team, thanks to their unrivalled and skilful hands, created a fresher, more modern look for the Maserati Quattroporte, yet always mindful of the class, glamour and exclusivity which represent its inner essence.
The personality and glamour of the Maserati flagship are now represented by two products: the Maserati Quattroporte and the Maserati Quattroporte S. The former is fitted with the familiar 4.2 litre 400 hp V8 engine, while the latter adopts the new 4.7 litre 430 hp V8 recently introduced on the Maserati GranTurismo S, with a different specification. Both cars feature the 6-speed automatic transmission developed in association with ZF.
The main styling changes are to the most recognisable features. First of all the front, where the new grille, with its vertical slats, is reminiscent of the GranTurismo. The front and rear light units are also updated, featuring LEDs. On the side, the under-door moulding is more noticeable, with a line that runs into that of the new bumpers, which have a wider protective band and more pronounced rear styling. The door mirrors are also new, with a more dynamic shape and a more streamlined mounting to the door. The interior has a new centre console and the controls are grouped more closely together for even more convenient operation. The car's range of navigation systems is also fully updated, now comprising the New Maserati Multimedia System. Two new shades of leather, Marrone Corniola (brown) and Sabbia (sand), replacing the beige which was previously in the range, debut on the Maserati Quattroporte S and Maserati Quattroporte respectively.
It is not a lottery competition. It is a skill game, where your skills can make you a winner.
